How to Fix an SSL Certificate That Is Not Active on a Website

The client reported that the SSL certificate was not active on the website.

The SSL certificate was not properly installed for the domain, so the website was not fully secured with HTTPS.

Install the SSL certificate through cPanel by selecting the domain and providing the required certificate details.

1. Open SSL/TLS
Log in to cPanel and open SSL/TLS Certificates from the Security section.

2. Select the Domain

Go to installation section and Select the domain for which the SSL certificate needs to be installed.

3. Add Certificate Details

Enter or retrieve the Certificate (CRT), Private Key (KEY), and CA Bundle (CABUNDLE).

4. Install the Certificate

Click Install Certificate and wait for the installation to complete.
5. Verify SSL

After successful installation, open the website using HTTPS and confirm that the browser shows “Connection is secure.”
